IMG_0009

Madalina began her medical career in Romania, her country of birth, where she completed and received her medical degree at one of Romania’s top medical schools. While studying Western Medicine, she was introduced to acupuncture and was very impressed with how effective this was for many conditions that conventional medicine could not effectively treat. After finishing medical school, Madalina moved to the United States as a graduate student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she received her Master’s in Molecular Biology. She was also involved in medical research at the Seattle Biomedical Research Institute and the University of Pennsylvania where she published her work in peer reviewed medical journals.

Although she excelled at research, she missed patient contact and her roots as a physician, so she completed a second Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine at the Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, CA, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Madalina also passed the United States Medical Licensing Exams and was accepted for a medical residency in NYC, an opportunity she declined so she could focus on her aspiration of helping people through acupuncture.

She has additional experience as a Pharmacology instructor and acupuncture clinic supervisor at the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Denver, CO.

Madalina has a unique understanding of both Eastern and Western Medicine, and places a strong priority on educating her patients and learning about their individual conditions so she can better meet their needs.
